Medellin Gastronomi

The cuisine of Antioquia and Medellin expresses the lifestyle of farmers and herdsmen who worked all day preparing food during the day. It is said that in its carrieles (typical bag) kept the ingredients of their food and the rich variety of food they were carrying, born rich bandeja paisa in which are the typical local products: beans, avocado, banana , rice and meat.

Meats such as chicken, pork and beef are present in all dishes of this region as well as corn. Cuisine is so rich, generous in its portions and very spicy.
